WW ll V-42 Elite Special Forces Knife with Scabbard This is one beautiful knife. Also named the V-42 stiletto, the V-42 Elite Special Forces Knife was issued to the First Special Service Force, a World War II commando unit that was uniquely made up of American and Canadian forces.
Dubbed the Devils Brigade, the First Special Service Force fought in the Aleutian Islands, Italy and southern France during the Second World War. Their knife, the V-42, was designed by the units officers to be a close-quarters combat knife. Its stiletto shape and double-edged blade were chosen so that it would excel at thrusting attacks. It was said to be able to pierce a helmet and liner in a single thrust.
Our faithful, razor-sharp reproduction features a 1095 carbon-blued steel, double-edged blade and a skull-crushing steel pommel. Its leather-washed grip provides a steady handle. Its low-ride, top-grain leather scabbard is reinforced with steel and has a leather leg thong. We offer engraving options to buyers of this knife.
